Updating dell laptop
What a bloody mission, but another God-damned windows problem bites the dust... :) Later I think that there is a driver issue with this because the same thing happened to me using Windows XP Pro SP3. I am going to wipe the computer and launch Ubuntu live disc to see if touchpad starts working to rule out hardware failure.
If you’re in the same boat and wondering if you should risk the upgrade and deal with the consequences later, here is one legitimate source that you can check as far as a Dell laptop is concerned.
So you've been trying to charge your Dell laptop battery with your laptop charger, but suddenly your battery is no longer charging.
Since it seems that your your charger isn't faulty, you've tried to upgrade your BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) on your computer so that your computer might recognize your charger again.
Just above the listed drivers, you will see a notice from Dell telling you if your laptop will be compatible or not.
The Inspiron 15 (N5010) has not been tested for the Windows 10 upgrade as yet.
Instead what I discovered after much searching, is that there is a setting for turning touchpad on/off hidden in the windows settings.
